Week 5: November 14-15
Together
Jake Mulvihill: Head of School
Psalm 133: 1,3
“How good and pleasant it is
when believers dwell together in unity."
For there the LORD bestows His blessing,
even life forevermore."
Prayer:
We lift our eyes as we seek to ascend together, united in one heart and mind in Christ. You are our one true foundation to build on. Let no divisive spirit pull our community apart. We celebrate the various gifts, interests and abilities of our Legacy community and pray that we may be unified to further the good and pleasant blessing of LCA. Together, we give you glory through our collective efforts, offerings, and praises. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Surround
Allyson Mancuso: Elementary Student Life Coordinator
Psalm 125:1-2
“Those who trust in the LORD are like Mt. Zion
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the LORD surrounds His people
both now and forevermore.”
Prayer:
We lift our eyes to You our Mighty God. In You we put our trust to be raised up, not defeated, as we climb with endurance. Lord, we ask that you surround your children and protect this LCA community. Keep us strong, stable, and secure as we climb steadily upward. In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 3: October 31
Build
Josh Smith: Middle School Student Life Coordinator
Psalm 127:1, 3-4
Unless the LORD builds the house,
its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
The watchmen stand guard in vain...
Children are a heritage from the LORD,
a reward from Him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one's youth.
Prayer:
We humbly depend on you to build the house for we know apart from you, we can do nothing. We boldly ask You to faithfully build our children as we build in our commitment to further expand Legacy’s mission. Lord, you love families and children. Just as stones, timber, and metal beams construct a building, so must our children be built to stand strong in their faith and love for you. Let us see our children as arrows that must be carefully shaped, guided with truth, skill and strength, so they can fly to the mark you have purposed for them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Week 2: October 24
Expect
Todd Kardell: High School Student Life Coordinator
Psalm 130:5-6
“I wait for the LORD,
my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.”
Prayer:
We expect great things because of who you are, Lord. We trust that you are at work in every detail of our building expansion. We are stepping out in faith to answer the call you’ve placed on Legacy to grow in our commitment to mission and begin our ascent. Our souls wait and eagerly anticipate the work of your Holy Spirit in our community. We humbly come before you and ask how you may be inviting each of us to consider how we can give and support the ascent together. Help us lift our eyes and open our hearts to your purposes. We place our hope in your faithfulness and provision for Legacy. You are Legacy’s present and future hope. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Week 1: October 18
Ascend
Jake Mulvihill: Head of School
Psalm 121:1-3
“I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
He who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.”
Prayer:
Lord, may we lift our eyes to You as we ascend together on an uphill journey to where you are calling us as a community. Keep LCA from harm, protect our steps, and watch over every detail of our building expansion and commitment to mission. Help us to grow in our faith and in the quality of Christian education for our students. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
